FC11 system (long before last updates). I've never encouraged any
problems with menu entries, but frequently I have this
'no_hints_in_the_address_bar' problem. Actually, it's not a big
problem for me and it disappears after X restart. Sounds a bit
window$, but have you tried to reboot your system?
