1. Don't make irrelevant replies to postings (your message is NOT a
   reply to the digest that you quoted).
2. Don't quote entire digests when you do reply to one.

Now a quick example about your query:
To install the Pidgin instant messaging program, using the command line,
the root user would type in the following command, hit enter, then
confirm the installation when prompted:  yum install pidgin
-- 
[tim@localhost ~]$ uname -r
2.6.27.25-78.2.56.fc9.i686
