By the time I'm done, I expect 5 for 5 failures (so far, I'm 2 out of 2). Starting with F9, Anaconda reliably failed to install grub for me, on every one of my machines, despite that they're all different.

I've hit this too. I've been meaning to open a bug report for it and will do so now.

If I chose the option to update the existing bootloader I often ended up with a mis-installed grub (about 5 out of 7 machines if I remember). I found that if I chose to create a new booloader configuration that anaconda was suggesting I install grub into the MBR of /dev/sdb which wasn't the primary boot device. If I changed that manually to /dev/sda it worked.

I'm guessing that for the update option it just takes it's guess to be correct and installs in the MBR of the wrong device.

Looking in BZ it looks like this is already reported at:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=446362

..I'll add my observations there too.

Simon.
