SATA Hotplug fails

I've got a WD external drive with an e-sata connection. Works fine if I boot with it connected/powered.

If I hot plug it, I see the following in the messages log

I don't get a device created in /dev.

I'm running the lastest F11 32 bit

Linux godzilla2 2.6.29.4-167.fc11.i586 #1 SMP Wed May 27 17:14:37 EDT 2009 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

Any words of wisdom (other than "don't do that") ?

Thanks,

John
