You must be missing some x86_64 package(s) then.

This is an F11 package set with no broken deps (the contents of the KDE live
image):
http://www.deadbabylon.de/fedora/livecd/packagelists/f11/long-F11-KDE-086-x86_64.txt
There's no glibc.i686 (nor i586) in it.
