Solved: Evolution isn't saving my passwords...

I installed gnome-keyring-manager and then ran it to take a look at my
keyrings.   For some reason it wouldn't let me open the "default"
keyring.  So I deleted it and created a new default keyring.

Then I started evolution.  I did not get any of the keyring errors.  It
then saved my passwords !
