Thank you for your kind reply.

Fedora has e16 in repos at the moment, haven't checked if e17 is in
current rawhide (Fedora 11).
Wicd is not in fedora repositories also :(

Now are you using nm-applet in enlightenment? I have started nm-applet
in xterm window but don't see it anywhere in enlightenment, strange.
