Which is a horribly ugly "solution". Fedora is not Gentoo.

If you use standard prebuilt kmods, you still need to be careful with kernel

But AKMOD is a great way of getting the latest security updates into the system without waiting for a module to be produced. I like the idea of dkms akmod as it can make life easier.
