That's what I thought. Take a look at what dmesg tells you. It will probably recognize the chip and then complain about the firmware. In this case, you would need b43-fwcutter to extract the firmware from the Windows .sys file, and (with the appropriate options) drop it into /lib/modules. I've done this on my laptop when it was running SuSE and now runs Ubuntu.
