Multiple versions of the kernel can be installed at once. Each kernel needs
its own build of any given kernel module, so you have to have multiple
versions of the module as well (but they aren't technically multiple
versions of the same package because the package name for the kernel module
contains the kernel version - at one point, Fedora used a scheme which
didn't do that, but once kernel modules were no longer allowed within
Fedora, RPM Fusion took over and they decided to switch back to including
the kernel version in the module package name, and having the unversioned
module be a metapackage which always drags in the latest version of the
module; the advantage of doing things like that is that yum does not have
to treat kernel modules specially anymore).
