Thank you, Anne for your response. I've held my tongue on this part of
the thread to avoid any more noise, but you have brought back to this
"Community assistance, encouragement, and advice for using Fedora.".

I don't consider myself a total newbie, having used Fedora since FC1.
However, my use of Fedora has primarily been as an end user not as
system administrator, yet I now find myself in a position where I must
carry that role and so I must learn.

My field of expertise is far removed from computing. Everyone is
ignorant, just on a different set of subjects. I'm sure the health care
professionals who see to the needs of the pets loved by people on this
list often shake their heads in wonder that some basic aspect of pet
care was not met. Every day people who are ignorant about their animals
come to us, but we lead them and educate them. Some learn fast, some
slow, some go back off with the fairies.

The subject of the thread was deliberately made so obvious that any who
felt it beneath them to answer could just press delete. Similarly the
first question, so no more time would be wasted. The problem is now
solved, thanks primarily to Tim's methodological answer.

Thanks again Anne.
