I got everything the same, except it didn't work.

<snip>
==========================================================================
Opening audio decoder: [ffmpeg] FFmpeg/libavcodec audio decoders
AUDIO: 22050 Hz, 1 ch, s16le, 32.0 kbit/9.08% (ratio: 4005->44100)
Selected audio codec: [ffcook] afm: ffmpeg (FFmpeg COOK audio decoder)
==========================================================================
AO: [pulse] 22050Hz 1ch s16le (2 bytes per sample)
Video: no video
Starting playback...
A:   0.0 (00.0) of 472.0 (07:52.0) ??,?% 18%

The mplayer application never appeared. How do I fix this ?
