Solved.

Did a

# /usr/sbin/vgchange -a y VolGroup00
File descriptor 5 left open
File descriptor 7 left open
2 logical volume(s) in volume group "VolGroup00" now active

Then:
# mount /dev/mapper/VolGroup00-LogVol00 /temp
<success !>
