create /etc/modprobe.conf
And add the following lines: (Where snd_driver_name is the name of
each sound card driver)

alias snd-card-0 snd_driver_name
options snd-card-0 index=0
options snd_driver_name index=0

alias snd-card-1 snd_driver_name
options snd-card-1 index=1
options snd_driver_name index=1

...
