I believe that pdftk 1.41 will be unbuildable under gcc 4.3.x in fedora as it was on Darwin fink. This issue is... http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=35689 and the final analysis was that pdftk needed to be changed to no longer use c++ i/o with java execeptions being enabled.
