Does anyone have a recipe for getting the ssh-agent running automatically on
login to both kde and gnome in f9?

I have answered this for myself for KDE - it is analogous to kde3.5 - use dolphin to navigate to .kde/Autostart and then create a link to application in that directory pointing at /usr/bin/ssh-add .... now to find the equivalent for gnome!

Gnome has its own answer for this: it'll ask you for a passphrase the first time that you need a key, and keep the key in the agent thereafter. You don't need to do any configuration for this. It just works.
