BTW. I boot from sda, and have installed f9's bootloader on sdb, how do
I simply hand over the boot-process to the grub on mbr on sdb?

I have tried with:

root (hd1,0)
chainloader +1

in grub.conf there is a line in the comments like this:

#boot=/dev/sda

Is this just a comment, or is the line used?

Henning

root (hd1)
chainloader +1

(hd1) is the entire second drive, so you read from the MBR. (hd1,0) is the first partition of the second drive, so you read from the boot record of the first partition.
