What do we mean 'boot for like 10 seconds'? It starts to boot, syays
stuff on the screen and then drops dead?

Or it spins for a little while and then acts as if nothing is in the DVD
drive?

If the latter, did you burn the F7 DVD yourself? Is it possible you
burned the .iso file as a file and not as a bootable image?
