F7 hangs on boot

    Dear friends,

I did a clean install to Fedora 7 and it does not boot since then
unless I provide boot arguments such as maxcpus=1. It does not proceed
beyond:

Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting kernel.

How can I fix this? I already updated (after booting with maxcpus=1).

 Thanks.

    Take care
    Oliver
