It's Java, not Linux, but GanttProject (http://ganttproject.biz/) can
import .mpp files.  I haven't tried to export.  I don't like how it
displays things, but it's the only thing that I've found.

M$ Project 2002 will not install under the latest FC6 wine.

I can't cajole Planner to import M$ Project 2002 files (*.mpp)
