Hi all,
here is an update. It seems that by using the combined_mode=libata
kernel parameter, all the IDE problems are solved.
There are still problems with the USB devices: when a new USB device is
inserted, you sometimes (the first time after the boot for sure, then
occasionally) obtain a CPU soft lockup. Any idea on how to workaround this?

Regards,
	Alberto
