Doesn't seem to help me:

[root@localhost ~]# yum install kmod-fglrx-smp

Am I missing something obvious?

The seperate smp kernels no longer exist. You just need kmod-fglrx.

$ yum list \*fglrx\*

Available Packages

kmod-fglrx.i586                          8.33.6-1.2.6.19_1.2895 livna
