Is there any way to make yum/pirut see the FC6 DVD (mounted) as a repository ? I'm using FC6. I've tried adding file://mnt/dvd/ to yum.conf, but only to see yum complain that repomd.xml is missing (but it's there in FC6 DVD /repodata/repomd.xml).

Thanks
Roy

The DVD should be mounted under /media and mounted under the name of the DVD label. Check your /media directory for mounts named FC6 something.

Yes, this should work by default. No it does not presently work out that way.
