Thanks, I went with older one thinking it would be compatible with older laptop. FC6 works with older CPUs. I am running an AMD 500 on laptop.

I won't comment on how to get the card working, but I would use FC6
rather than FC3.  In my experience the FCs got faster as they went along
and the newer FCs are much less prone to have bugs and more prone to
"just work".
