That's precisely what I've got, and I had no install problems. Having
said that, I certainly didn't install everything at install time -- I was
doing an FTP install, and was interested in getting the machine up and
running so I could be configuring some of it while other packages were
downloading. I think I went for X, Gnome, and a few other optional
packages in the initial install.

What sort of motherboard do you have? Which chipset?
