right, drivers should fall from the sky like rain, precompiled & perfect.

They do for  WinDose (for the most part)... as far as the general user
 is concerned.

I agree with Mike, attitudes like this will prevent Linux from being further
developed toward user friendliness. Thus, WinDose will still rule on
the laptop and desktop unless this changes.
