In FC6 (test 2,test 3 and final release), Konqueror will not run. You click on the menu item and nothing happens. This is true on two different machines.

It works if I do this from the command line:

/usr/bin/konqueror
Link points to "/tmp/ksocket-root"
Link points to "/tmp/kde-root"
kbuildsycoca running...
Reusing existing ksycoca

Any ideas?

I reported this on the fedora-test-list

https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-test-list/2006-October/msg00265.html

Advice given was to run
$ kbuildyscoca
logout and log back in
and try again.

It is weird that sometimes this happens, * does not load from menu *, but konqueror still runs from command line. Both GNOME and KDE.

Regards,

Antonio

I have the same problem and try to use ur advice but can't find the
application called kbuildyscoca. I did "yum provides kbuildyscoca" and
returned empty.

any idea
