Did you run "ps -aux | grep beagle" Is it running niced all the way up to 19? I've noticed one of the beagle helper programs running occasionally, niced up to 19, while it went through some internal update process. Not knowing much about beagle, (other than the obvious), I assumed it was innocuous. --wpd
