There isn't much that we do that isn't eventually pushed upstream, FWIW.

It will, but you won't get the benefit of the aot-compiled bits[1].

well, you will for classes whose bytecode hasn't changed between the
version you have in an RPM from Fedora and the version you're trying to
run
