The xorg.conf for FC6 is a minimalistic version of the file and depends upon probing the video card instead of specific entries regarding the display being used in the xorg.conf file. I have seen several instances of setups being broken because of the lack of display configuration used in the new style xorg.conf file.

Basically, you need a screen section like below added to the config file in some cases. The below is only for something to compare as a template. Your resolutions might be different and probably are.

Also, there is a list where it is more appropriate to ask questions for the test releases and development when there are no test releases ongoing. You can subscribe to the list and get input from those running the test versions and most likely encountered the problem before and solved it. Attaching to a bug with your symptoms or creating a bug report if none exist would most likely resolve the problem that you are getting.
