Hi
I have an acer travelmate 4220, I has no sound , before installing FC 5 on it, it had suse and ubuntu on it, and the sound did not work and I couldn't get a decient resoloution on the display .. So I went to FC 5, I have a better resoloution, but still on sound :-(...
I have updated the kernel to the latest version,
I have updated the alsa-libs to the latest version.
I have compiled the alsa drives from scratch - alsa-driver-1.0.12rc3 - and install with out errors.. still on sound.
When I run the sound card detection tool there is no sound, when I check in the scsound.log there are not errors.
I have run alsamixer and check that nothing is muted, and stored the valuse using aslactl store ..
