i had the same behaviour with the 2.6.17-1.2145_FC5-smp-i686 kernel.

I thought I would let you know that I have experienced the same problem
with the latest kernel 2.6.17-1.2157.  I checked the messages log and
noticed a number of "lost interrupt" kernel messages around the time
that my Enter key stuck. Don't know it they are related, but it looks
suspicious.  I am back on 2.6.17-1.2145 with no problems for the past
couple of days.
