Probably you are booting with the "quiet" kernel option. 2139 has a bug
that causes it not to respect that option, so it keeps spewing to the
console. You could try removing the "quiet" option from the kernel command
line in grub.

If, instead, booting takes 20 seconds longer than before, well, removing
the "quiet" option may still help.
