Starting a program at boot

Hi,

Just a quick question, I have installed darkstat on my pc but would
like to to have it start at boot time. My prefered way would be by a
service in /etc/init.d however darkstat does not have one installed
and runs as /usr/sbin/darkstat

I have been told to start it from the /etc/init.d/httpd script but
feel this a work around and I do not want to start hacking my config
even if it is only one line.

Does anyone have any sugestion on the best way to start darkstat at boot time.

Also does any one know a better way to monitor my incoming and
outgoing traffic as I am moving provider and am about to have a limit
for the first time.

Thanks

Paul
