The madwifi website has a list of supported atheros-cards.

The other projects might have similar (bcm43xx for broadcom and hostap
for prism).

As an aside, I'm a bit wary of the Broadcom stuff.  The newer chips,
even ones that have been out for years like the bcm4319 still have no
support in the current FC5 kernel.
