Running Fedora Core 5 on a Poweredge1550 server. Ethernet adapter fails randomly. When "ifup eth0", I get an error stating:
e100_exec_cb_wait: ucode load failed
SIOCSIIFFLAGS: Operation not permitted
Failed to bring up eth0.
Any thoughts?
Two questions:
1 - which kernel are you running?
2 - do you get the same message if you do ifdown before ifup ?
There have been some strange networking issues on the list recently - the latest kernel seems to be a common thread...
Ok third question - what make/model is the eth0 adapter...
