I have an E1705 on my lap right now that's running FC5.  I don't have
any printed instructions, but if you post what issues you're having I
can tell you if I have the same hardware and whether I solved them.

So far, everything works but the sd card reader (and the driver for
that made it into the 2.6.17 kernel, AFAIK, so at some point soon that
will work too).

Of course, there are several different hardware options on those
systems, so you may have stuff I don't.
