Since day before yesterday I am seeing strange cron behaviour
on my up to date FC5 desktop pc, reported in the cron log as follows:

May 8 23:01:01 localhost crond[4077]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)
May 9 00:01:01 localhost crond[4398]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)
May 9 09:36:31 localhost crond[2061]: (CRON) STARTUP (V5.0)
May 9 09:36:32 localhost anacron[2099]: Anacron 2.3 started on 2006-05-09
May 9 09:36:33 localhost anacron[2099]: Will run job `cron.daily' in 65 min.
May 9 09:36:33 localhost anacron[2099]: Jobs will be executed sequentially
May 9 10:01:01 localhost crond[3017]: (root) CMD (run-parts /etc/cron.hourly)
May 9 10:41:32 localhost anacron[2099]: Job `cron.daily' started
May 9 10:41:32 localhost anacron[3304]: Cannot run - another anacron process
is already running.: Resource deadlock avoided
May 9 10:42:02 localhost anacron[2099]: Job `cron.daily' terminated
     (mailing output)
May 9 10:42:02 localhost anacron[2099]: Normal exit (1 jobs run)

My up to date FC5 laptop does NOT show this behaviour!

I can't discover any differences in the cron config files on
the desktop and the laptop.

Can anybody explain what is happening?

Alexander
