Hello,

When I try to start winbind, I get the following error:

My problem is; I can browse the samba network (win2000 active directory) in my company. When I click on computers, I can see the shares in them. If the share is available for everyone, then I can get in. But if the share is only available to certain users, an authentication dialog pops up asking for user, domain, password. Here even if I put the correct values, it will not let me get in. I thought this was winbind problem - but maybe not.

What do I need to do in order to browse shares? I do not want to join this computer to the domain or use any authentication based on windows side to login to this computer, because our windows server is quite unreliable. On the other hand, I like to use printers and such.

Best Regards,
-C.B.
