Actually, I think they might now.  nVidia released a new version not
too long ago:

The Release Highlights mention many things about OpenGL, Composite,
GLX, etc.  They don't mention AIGLX specifically, but several things
seem to sound a lot like it.  I have not had time yet to install FC5
to try it out, but will soon.  Does anyone more knowledgable about
this know if these are the extensions needed by AIGLX?

I think the fact that the OP was able to do something (and apparently,
most things with the excpetion of some text) with AIGLX suggests that
it is not unsupported.  He shouldn't get anything except an error
message otherwise, right?
