I am a Fedora Core 5 PPC64 user and am curious about the 'yum install w32codec' would yum be able to sort out whether there was a PPC or PPC64 version of "w32codec" or not? Do all repositories also have PPC and PPC64 versions or are there only certain repositories that contain PPC and PPC64 versions, like FreshRPMS?

There is currently no ppc/ppc64 support at ATrpms (but ppc might soon
be the case), and even if there were w32codecs only works on 32 bits
x86 hardware, sorry.

Thanks. How does one find those third party repositories that have ppc packages for Fedora Core 5? Is this something one just knows or is there a list out there someplace on a Fedora site? Very confusing.

Cheers,
