If worst comes to worst, you could probably set it up with a new
profile, then afterwards copy your old bookmarks (bookmarks.html) and
the passwords file (signons.txt, I believe) into the new working one
(while the browser is shut down, of course).

I only have one extension installed, so this surprises me.  Though I do
have a few skins installed, I didn't think they'd end up here.  I only
use one of them, so I'll see what removing them does, later on.
