You could apply the patch by Tom. It never fails except sometimes
after wakeup playing video with xv might crash X.

I 'made it work' on my Thinkpad X41 by patching /etc/pm/functions-intel.

I'm sure this is not really right, but it makes it work.

I'm tracking down a problem with 'vbetool post' now.....
