Forgot to mention, the device name(s) of the drive(s) you want the hddtemp service to monitor should be added in /etc/sysconfig/hddtemp . e.g.:
HDDTEMP_OPTIONS="-l 127.0.0.1 /dev/sda /dev/sdb"
