vanilla compilation question -- enable CONFIG_NUMA or not?

Hi,

Get a question when compiling vannilla 2.6.15.5
kernel for 64bit FC4 hosts. The same compiled kernel
will at least used on Intel single EM64T CPU
machines, AMD Operon single and multiple machines.

Then should I enable the CONFIG_NUMA option or not? Or
I have to compile at least two different kernels? one
for intel EM64T hosts, and one for AMD Opteron? that
will be too bad..

Please help. Thanks a lot.

CONFIG_NUMA:

Enable NUMA (Non Uniform Memory Access) support. The
kernel x
will try to allocate memory used by a CPU on the
local memory x
controller of the CPU and add some more NUMA
awareness to the kernel. x
This code is recommended on all multiprocessor
Opteron systems. x
If the system is EM64T, you should say N unless your
system is EM64T x
  NUMA.
