Seems like overkill for access into your home systems.  If you
want nailed-up lan-lan VPN, anything that does ipsec at the
public gateway should work (Netgear, Linksys and D-link all
have cheap ones).  But if you are thinking of a roaming software
client, I'm not sure what you'd gain compared to also using
software on the server side and letting the port it uses
through your firewall.
