Weird. I don't have the hardware to check this now unfortunately but firewire in upstream kernel is pretty flaky and pretty much unsupportable.I did - and updated the bugzilla entry about it. Someone else had already posted more details, but the odd part seems to be that it is recognized as an sg0 device, not an sd?.
