This is because IPV6 is turned on in firefox as shipped, and your routerisn't coping with IPV6 DNS queries for some reason (I have this issuetoo). Try the following:

In firefox address bar (where you would normally typehttp://www.google.com) type about:config. Scroll down tonetwork.dns.disableIPV6. Toggle it to false. This will hopefully solveyour problems.
