The kernel coming with Fedora Core 4 ogirinally has "small" modules, for
example,
/lib/modules/2.6.11-1.1369_FC4/kernel/fs/nfs/nfs.ko has the size of 261304
bytes, or 260 K.
If I take kernel sources from kernel.org, and use the same config as the
kernel-2.6.11-1.1369_FC4 was built, the the same module nfs.ko become to
2414088 bytes, or 2.5 M.

The same way *all* other modules grow up in size up to 10 times!

Why is that?
