Solaris 10 would be the best OS for a sparc system. You can also run
Solaris 10 ono x86 systems. Available at no cost now as well.
or if your disk isn't big enough for Solaris, try Debian. If it's really
old (I have a luncbox here, and you didn't say "ultra" or "54") and I
installed RHL 6.2 on that.
